A closed-source app that phones home is indistinguishable, from where you're standing, from spyware. So we made "phones home" a checkable claim instead of a policy paragraph.

Telemetry is off by default

No crash reporting, no analytics, no usage telemetry unless you turn it on. You're asked once, and never nagged about it again.

If you opt in, you can watch the exact bytes

Settings → Privacy → Telemetry → "What we send" renders the literal payload of the next event before it's sent — the actual bytes, not a description. A local log of everything ever sent stays viewable, exportable, and clearable for as long as you're opted in.

What's never in a payload

File paths, filenames, file contents, and usernames are never included, by schema — the telemetry schema itself is published alongside the rules manifest so this is auditable independent of any single payload.

This website

Analytics here are cookieless and don't track you across sites. If your browser sends Do Not Track, the analytics script never loads at all. No Google Analytics, ever.
